Mr Tan is a corporate and commercial lawyer with dual professional qualifications in both Accounting and Law. In the accounting profession, he is a Chartered Accountant in both Malaysia and Australia, in the legal profession, he is a qualified lawyer in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
For the past 20 years, Mr Tan has been involved in various cross border commercial deals covering sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, ICO, private debts and securities issues and other business and commercial related transactions. He was the head of the legal team representing Malaysia, in the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, the third g-to-g national level industrial park in the People’s Republic of China, as well as its sister industrial park the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.
Before setting up his own practice, Mr Tan was in employment with Shook Lin & Bok and Drew & Napier LLC, the first tier law firms in Malaysia and Singapore, respectively. He was also the Legal Advisor of Chinese Media International Limited Group, a trustee of Yayasan Sin Chew, co-holding the position of the Group Chief Operating Officer of Sin Chew Media Group, the largest Chinese media group outside the mainland China.

He is also a Vice President in Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM) and deputy Secretary of Malaysia Speaker Association (MSA). Ching has over 15 years of experience in the areas of auditing, tax planning, financial accounting, corporate financial planning, business advisory, education and corporate training. He was previously practicing in Deloitte Kassim Chan for 5 years. Ching features regularly in Malaysia Radio FM & various publishes to provide views and comments on current economy & financial markets. He is an author for 2 books and is also a well-known public speaker for different corporate & financial related topics in the SME sector.
